A seafood feast will be held at the dock area at Bay Villa (aka Pearls) on Saturday, Aug. 2, from 5 pm until ?. Admission is $25 and will include crabs, shrimp, baked beans, a beer truck and other things. Proceeds will go towards Vance Aydlette, Jr's. campaign for Currituck County Commissioner. Call Pearl's at 429-3559 for more details. Come on out and give Vance your support....unless of course, you like the other guy.

If he isn't lying and rhetoricking like all the other politicians I've listened too, he sounds like he has a pretty good platform. We have his brochure in the house. That's a good thing. We're a tough crowd when it comes to elections.

I've been hearing that a lot lately. What are we going to change to?
I thought the part about letting us decide the future of the county was the best part.

Mr. Aydlette has promised to ensure that the mail delivery person closes the doors tightly on all mailboxes. He too has been plagued by wet mail. He also promised to reduce the number of phone books K.I. residents receive each year. "Five or six phone books a year is entirely too many", he stated. "When most people need somebody's phone number, they usually just call the store or Pearl's". His opponent, Mr. Cherry is rumored to be "pro-phone book". He was once overheard saying, "A person can never have too many phone books." Obviously Mr. Cherry is out of touch. Personally, I just want to hear their position on Sunday morning beer sales. Driving all the way to the campground store for beer on Sunday morning increases America's dependency on foreign oil and contributes to global warming. It's all about protecting the environment and saving the planet's resources for our children.

You should be the candidate for state senate. Spearhead the drive the decrease our dependency on fossil fuels and support the Belgians (our allies) at the same time.
YES! KI Guy for Senate! Are you with me guys?
(Knotthead runs from room cheering.)

I wonder why the people at the beach are funneling so much money into Cherry's campaign. I don't buy his commitment to be a public servant. The ads are everywhere. Such as small community is shoveling so much money into this. Why?
