Important message from City of Virginia Beach Public Works
Beginning Friday, April 30, the City of Virginia Beach will be replacing a pipe that crosses Princess Anne Road in the Creeds area. The new twin 7' x 4' box culverts will improve storm drainage flow along Oakum Creek. Road closure is necessary for replacement of the storm drain pipe crossing Princess Anne Road. Princess Anne Road will be closed to through traffic in BOTH directions during weekends. Only one lane will be closed on Princess Anne Road Monday through Friday. This partial closure will be just north of the intersection of Morris Neck Road and Princess Anne Road. Northbound traffic will be rerouted to Morris Neck Road then to Mill Landing Road then back to Princess Anne Road. Southbound traffic will also use this route. Warning signs will be posted advising motorists of the detours in place. The project will take approximately four weeks, weather permitting. Work will progress through the weekends with detours in place. For additional information, contact Esther Dornin at (757) 385-3933, or at edornin@vbgov.com
