They paved 615. Looks nice huh? For some reason they decided not to pave the back road. No big deal.
What is a big deal, though- is- the fact that they used the back road to move their trucks and equipment, in an effor to keep the front road pretty I supppose, and now it's crumbling and has a few notable potholes in it. Notable because an F350 can fall into one of them.
Thank you NCDOT and your contractors for helping the island out.

They didn't pave north of the "Y" either but they did dump some gravel in front of my mailbox. Now the mail delivery persons won't get their tires muddy when they leave my mailbox door opened.

Well, you gotta a pretty good bump from your income taxes then.
I'm always wondering when the Y will become a stop sign. It's getting tricky navigating that thing with the increased island traffic. I have to get to the dump before my buzz kicks in nowadays.
