I'm a kayaker from Virginia Beach and do a lot of Kayaking in the Back bay and would love to kayak from the norther parts of Knotts Island. I was wondering if there are any spots North of the causeway that a person could launch a kayak. I would be willing to pay a fee to launch and park on private property, I would be very careful not to disturb anything. Kayaks are very low impact on the launch sites and waterways. I have launched from the Brumley Rd launch a few times, but would love to explore the area north of the Causeway. Does anyone know if it is OK to park and launch from the Causeway Bridge ?

Hi. I've been thinking about trying to park by the bridge and put in from the mini beaches along there. I live here and I've been watching the routine for a while. I thin k this is do-able.

I'm sure it's ok to launch at the bridge. Paddle up the canal some time. It's real nice

How's the launch from the North End? Virginia used to have a ramp there.
